Bluefin Technology Partners and Stack Education Contribute to Voice Technology Design and Coding Bootcamp at Emerson College
Emerson College, Bluefin, and Stack Education teach students how to build smart and connected voice apps as part of an accelerated learning program.
Worcester, Mass., Aug. 10, 2020 — Bluefin Technology Partners, a leading Boston area technology and digital product consultant, and Stack Education, a Boston-based creator and educator of STEM-based bootcamp curriculum, have partnered with Emerson College to create a Voice Technology Design and Coding Bootcamp.
The Voice Technology Design and Coding Bootcamp is the first of its kind in the industry. It consists of an accelerated 18-week course that teaches students the fundamentals of designing and building industry-leading voice technology and web applications.
During the bootcamp, students:
-
Build experience in voice technology design and coding
-
Use in-demand voice app technologies to complete a co-op style project for an actual company
-
Develop their own voice apps
Upon completion of the bootcamp, students can:
-
Utilize VUI (Voice User Interface) and VUX (Voice User Experience) industry best practices
-
Design and code Amazon Alexa Voice Skills and other voice apps from scratch
-
Build web apps using JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and more
-
Enter the voice technology design and coding market with real world experience
-
Apply their technical skills in real world settings
Additionally, students do not require technical experience in a relevant field to join the bootcamp, and they can use the bootcamp to prepare for a career in voice technology and development.
"Voice is the next blue sky. The Voice Technology Design and Coding Bootcamp lets students build the skills needed to develop and deliver voice apps — without a four-year degree program — and we’re seeing them do it in the first cohort of the bootcamp already," says Rich DiTieri, COO of Stack Education.
"The Voice Technology Design and Coding Bootcamp gives students the skills they need to succeed in voice technology and development. Thanks to the bootcamp, students of all skill and experience levels can take the first step toward a successful career in voice technology and development," says Jay Cahill, Partner and co-founder of Bluefin.
"As Emerson College was founded as a school of oratory, it is incredibly fitting that the College is forging a path forward for professionals eager to gain essential skills for successful careers in the emerging field of voice technology and design," says Sanjay Pothen, Emerson Launch Director.
