Voice is the new medium, and it presents new opportunities for businesses of all sizes and across all industries. Yet, the mere thought of building a voice app that leverages the Internet of Things (IoT) may seem overwhelming, even to tech experts.
At Bluefin Technology Partners, we want to educate companies about voice IoT, how it works, and its benefits. As part of our commitment, we recently collaborated with Stack Education and Emerson College to launch a Voice Technology Design and Coding Bootcamp, an accelerated learning program that teaches participants how to create their own voice apps.
The Voice Technology Design and Coding Bootcamp teaches participants how to design and build their own apps in a matter of months, according to Rich DiTieri, COO and co-founder of Stack Education. Bootcamp participants explore a wide range of voice IoT topics, including:
VUI (Voice User Interface) and VUX (Voice User Experience) industry best practices
Amazon Alexa Voice Skills design and coding
Web application development across JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and more
Anyone interested in voice apps, so long as they have basic computer skills and at least high school level of math education, is encouraged to join the bootcamp, regardless of whether they have technical experience in a relevant field. Thanks to the bootcamp, participants can gain the skills they need to launch voice apps from scratch. Plus, they could put themselves in position to capitalize on the rising demand for voice apps.
If you can use a computer, you can join the Voice Technology Design and Coding Bootcamp and learn how to build your own voice app, DiTieri says. The bootcamp enables participants to work together to create voice apps with real world applications. At the same time, the bootcamp allows participants to understand the challenges associated with creating a voice IoT app, learn how to address these challenges, and find ways to prevent them from recurring.
Bluefin helps businesses incorporate voice capabilities into their products or develop new IoT products that end-users can control with their voice. To learn more, please contact us today.
